Method 1 – How to enable International transaction on Amex Card Through Website?

Follow these steps –

1. Open Amex Website on your computer/smartphone browser – https://www.americanexpress.com/en-in/account/login
2. Log in using your User ID and Password.
3. Select the OTP verification method – SMS or Email.
4. Enter the OTP received via SMS or Email.
5. Now, from the main dashboard, click on ‘Account Management‘ option from the main menu.
6. Now, click on ‘Transaction Security Setting‘ option from the screen.
7. On the new page, scroll below to the Internation transactions section.
8. Enable International Online Transactions, Chip, Contactless, or ATM transactions as required.
9. At the bottom of the page, press ‘Save Settings‘ button.

The international transactions are now enabled on your card.

Method 2 – How to enable International Transaction on Amex card using App

1. Open the Amex App on your smartphone.
2. Login using User ID and Password OR fingerprint authentication.
3. Tap on ‘Profile‘ option at the bottom menu.
4. Tap on ‘Transaction Security Settings‘ option.
5. You can now scroll down to international transaction section and enable the required options from – Online, Contactless, Chip, or ATM.
6. At the bottom, press ‘Save Settings‘ button.
