Method 1 – How to enable International transaction on Amex Card Through Website?

Follow these steps –

  1. Open Amex Website on your computer/smartphone browser –
  2. Log in using your User ID and login
  3. Select the OTP verification method – SMS or Email.
  4. Enter the OTP received via SMS or Email.
  5. Now, from the main dashboard, click on ‘Account Management‘ option from the main on account management option in amex portal
  6. Now, click on ‘Transaction Security Setting‘ option from the on transaction security settings in amex portal
  7. On the new page, scroll below to the Internation transactions section.
  8. Enable International Online Transactions, Chip, Contactless, or ATM transactions as required.enable international transactions using amex website
  9. At the bottom of the page, press ‘Save Settings‘ card international transactions enable successful

The international transactions are now enabled on your card.

Method 2 – How to enable International Transaction on Amex card using App

  1. Open the Amex App on your smartphone.
  2. Login using User ID and Password OR fingerprint authentication.enter login details in amex app
  3. Tap on ‘Profile‘ option at the bottom transaction security settings option in amex app
  4. Tap on ‘Transaction Security Settings‘ option.
  5. You can now scroll down to international transaction section and enable the required options from – Online, Contactless, Chip, or ATM.
  6. At the bottom, press ‘Save Settings‘ button.

The settings are applied immediately, and you can use your card for international transactions.
