Method 1 – How to enable international transaction on HDFC credit card using Net Banking?
Please follow these steps exactly as it is –
- Open HDFC net banking webpage on your smartphone/computer browser – https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/
- Login to your account by entering the User ID and Password.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to verify your identity.
- Once you login to the account, click on ‘Cards‘ option from the main menu.
- From the Left side menu, under Credit Cards section, click on ‘Request‘ option.
- From the sub-menu, click on ‘Set Card Controls‘ option.
- On the new page, select your credit card from the drop-down menu.
- Now, expand the option – International usage/limits.
- First, turn on ‘International Usage’ and then you can enable the each channel as per your requirement – Online, Merchant Outlet, Tap and Pay, ATM, etc.
- Do not forget the set daily limit for the channel you turned on.
- At the bottom, press Continue button.
- On the next page, confirm your settings that you changed and click on Continue button.
- On the next page, OTP verification method is shown as SMS and Email. Press Continue button.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number or Email ID and press on Continue button.
The international transactions are now enabled on your HDFC credit card.
Method 2 – How to enable international transaction on HDFC credit card using HDFC Mobile App
You must have a HDFC Mobile app installed on your smartphone and activated.
- Open HDFC credit card on your smartphone and login with MPIN or Fingerprint authentication.
- From the homepage, tap on Menu icon at the top right.
- Select PAY option from the menu.
- From sub-menu, select ‘Cards’ option.
- Select your credit card from the screen.
- Next, tap on ‘Customise‘ option besides ‘Limits and Restrictions‘ option.
- On the next page, scroll down and expand the International tab.
- First, enable the ‘International‘ option and then enable the each channel as per your requirement – online, merchant, ATM, Tap and Pay.
- Also, don’t forget to set the daily limit for each transaction.
- At the bottom, press Confirm button.
- On the next screen, select the OTP verification method as SMS or Email and press Continue button.
- Enter the OTP on the screen and tap on Continue button.
