How to enable international transaction on SBI credit card?

There are three methods to enable international transactions on SBI credit card –

  1. Using SBI Card Website
  2. Using SBI Card App
  3. By sending SMS

We will see each method in detail –

Method 1 – How to enable International transaction on SBI credit card through Website?

Follow these simple steps to activate your card –

  1. Open sbicard.com on your computer or smartphone.
  2. Enter your user ID and password to log in to your dashboard.
  3. From the main screen, click on the ‘Services‘ option to expand the menu.click on activate international usage
  4. From the services menu, click on Activate international usage option.
  5. On the new screen, select your credit card number and then click on Activate Option.select activate option
  6. On the same screen, read the terms and conditions and agree and tick the mark before the t&c statement.
  7. Click on Submit button to send the request for SBI card international transaction activation.
  8. On the new screen, you can now see the Application successfully submitted message on the screen. A service request number is also provided; you can note it down for your reference.sbi card activation successful message
  9. Within a few hours, international transactions for SBI credit card will be activated. You can check the status of your request status by going to Services –> Track Service request from the left side menu.

Method 2 – How to enable international transaction on SBI credit card from SBI Card App?

  1. Install the SBI Credit card app on your smartphone.
  2. Login with your login details on the app.
  3. Now, tap the Menu icon at the top left of the app main screen.
  4. Then select the ‘Manage Card Usage‘ option from the menu.select manage card usage option in sbi card app
  5. Now, select the ‘International Transactions‘ option from the page.select international transactions option in sbi card app
  6. Then enable ‘Online transactions‘ and other relevant options as per your need and then tap on APPLY button at the bottom.

  7. You will now receive OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on the page and tap on SUBMIT button.enter otp to enable international transaction on sbi card

Done! Your settings are now saved; you can use your SBI credit card for online transactions.

Method 3- How to activate international transaction on sbi credit card by sms?

  1. Open SMS app on your registered mobile number.
  2. Type INTLATM <space> Last four digits of SBI card
  3. Send this message to 5676791
  4. The sbi card is now active for international transaction.

Note – SBI has stopped activating international transaction by SMS. Please refer other methods to activate your card.
