8. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number for verification. Enter the OTP and confirm your request.
9. You will see a message with a reference number for your request on the screen.

If you have activated SBI Yono app on your smartphone, you can use it to stop cheque payment easily by following these steps:

1. Log in to SBI Yono app using your MPIN or biometric authentication.
2. Under main menu, tap on ‘Service Request‘ option and then tap on ‘Cheques‘.
3. Tap on ‘Stop Cheque‘ option and select either ‘Single Cheque‘ or ‘Multiple Cheques‘ depending on your requirement.
4. Select the account number, type of cheque, start cheque number, end cheque number (if applicable), and reason for stopping payment from the available options.
5. Tap on ‘Next’ button and verify your details.
6. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number for verification. Enter it correctly within 60 seconds, or else it will expire.
7. Tap on ‘Confirm’ button after entering OTP successfully.

For some reasons, if you cannot access online net banking or app, you can visit the branch to stop the cheque payment.

1. Visit the nearest SBI branch.
2. Ask for the SBI stop cheque payment form.
3. Fill out the form and submit the form to the bank official.
4. Your cheque will be stopped immediately.
